As reported recently, Annihilation, the new speculative thriller from screenwriter-turned-director Alex Garland (Sunshine, Dredd, Ex Machina) is premiering on Netflix hereabouts, but that doesn’t stop us from mining the American marketing machine for tidbits. Here’s the latest bit of business, in which Natalie Portman and co. talk about the film’s central mystery, a bizarre area effect known as The Shimmer, which mutates all life within its sphere.
Starring Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac, Annihilation hits Netflix in March.
