Charlize Theron has always been up for a challenge and it looks like she’s once again delivered with Atomic Blonde, this time as an action hero who could resist 007’s pants man charm and kick his butt. Those dweemons, though….
Originally titled The Coldest City, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Antony Johnston (Wasteland), the story is set during the tail of the Cold War, with MI6’s lethal assassin Agent Lorraine Broughton sent to Berlin on a mission and encountering a treacherous web of spies, who she disposes of in quite an exciting fashion if you’re into this kinda thing.
The film also features James McAvoy, John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella, Toby Jones and dozens of action stuntmen, and is directed by David Leitch, who half of the team responsible for the stylish carnage of John Wick, and will next take on Deadpool 2.
Atomic Blonde is in cinemas August 3, 2017
