Lore and Somersault director Cate Shortland’s latest film, the psychological thriller Berlin Syndrome, will make its world debut at the the Sundance Film Festival in January, screening in competition in the World Cinema Dramatic section.
Adapted from Melanie Joosten’s novel of the same name by Snowtown screenwriter, Shaun Grant, Berlin Syndrome sees Australian actress Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge) as an Australian woman who is held captive in a Berlin apartment after a one night stand with a charismatic local.
Berlin Syndrome will be distributed in Australia in 2017 by Entertainment One.
