Box Office Report: 4 – 7 April 2024
It's school holiday time in QLD, NT, WA and VIC, meaning that Kung Fu Panda and his foe The Chameleon have overtaken the older skewing GxK: The New Empire, and will quickly increase its lead as the rest of Australia leaves school at the end of this week. The long-awaited Monkey Man opened in cinemas (yay, as opposed to its original destination Netflix) reasonably, whilst The First Omen didn't. Anzac themed Aussie film Before Dawn went out wide, accumulating $100k for an $800 screen average, which is respectable considering its limited sessions.
