It’s business as usual atop the box office charts, as the school holidays kick into gear, giving the likes of The Sheep Detectives (and, strangely, Tuner – are parents dropping off the kids and watching another film?) a boost, even though the film’s already available on a streaming platform. For the more discerning child (and child at heart), Studio Ghibli’s Kiki’s Delivery Service 4K re-release delivered a great screen average on limited screens. The only new wide release, Jackass: Best and Last, opened respectively, hardly a GOAT, but proving that the great unwashed still loves a good squirm-inducing good time laff once in a while.
