Ah, Blumhouse – they’re pretty much keeping the flame of low-budget, high-concept horror alive single-handed, and we love ’em for it. The latest project from the outfit behind The Purge and The Visit is 12 Deadly Days, an anthology horror series exclusive to YouTube Red.
Set in the small town of Saturn, California, 12 Deadly Days is proudly part of the small but vibrant horror/Christmas movie subset (think Silent Night, Deadly Night and Gremlins). It looks like they’ve thrown everything into the mix here: axe-wielding lunatics, vampires, some kind of giant nutcracker thing, plus a whole host of primo YouTube talent: Meghan Reinks, Burnie Burns, Troy Pindell, Nikki Limo, Tre Melvin, Anna Akana, Alexis G. Zall, Timothy DeLaGhetto, Eric Ochoa, Jake Roper, Mikey Murphy and Brittany Furlan.
