Australian romantic comedy The Naked Wanderer has begun production in Western Australia after a successful UK shoot with John Cleese.

The former Monty Python star isn’t the only notable name in the film’s ensemble, which includes BAFTA winner Sophie Kennedy Clark (Philomena), rising star Angus McLaren (Hotel Mumbai, Packed to the Rafters) and  Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Greatest Showman, Detective Chinatown 2).

Written by Callan Durlik and will be directed and produced by Alan Lindsay, The Naked Wanderer tells the story of a heartbroken young man who decides to walk 4000km up the coast of Western Australia naked, for charity, with the secret goal of making his ex-girlfriend jealous.

The production will spend 11 days in the South West city of Bunbury before heading for location work at Lancelin, Wedge Island and Sandy Cape, finishing with a week based in Karratha and the Pilbara.

“We are excited to be able to shoot The Naked Wanderer across some magnificent regional locations in Western Australia,” Lindsay said. “Audiences worldwide will enjoy the cheeky adventure that our story weaves and be inspired to visit some of the most picturesque parts of the world.”

The Naked Wanderer is set to hit Australian cinemas in early 2019 through Umbrella Entertainment.

I’d love to know the dates you are in Lancelin, my family are super keen to be there And see some of the making of the film. Things like this don’t come to WA often enough.
If you are after any extras in the film I have an 18 yr old that is interested to be involved in any way at all! On or off set.
    Hope things roll smoothly.
