Michael Bay’s Transformers films may have been the subject of derision by many, but they still pulled in the big bucks at the box office, albeit to dwindling returns as the franchise went on.
Now, one of our fave filmmakers, Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) takes the helm with a script by Christina Hodson (upcoming Batgirl) and – with no Shia Labeouf or Mark Wahlberg in sight – Hailee Steinfeld in the leading role.
Looks like they’ve ticked all the boxes when it comes to inclusiveness, and this should be the film to watch come December school holidays.
With a teaser released a few months back to whet our appetite, now we get a more action-packed official trailer…. before the next one is dropped closer to release, no doubt.
