The ABC, Screen Australia and Screen Queensland are excited to announce the powerful new six-part crime drma series Dustfall, will premiere Sunday 11 October at 8.20pm on ABC TV, with all episodes available to stream on ABC iview.

Dustfall is a compelling and atmospheric Tropic Noir, filmed on the Gold Coast and starring internationally renowned actor Anna Torv (The Newsreader, Territory). Based on Vikki Petraitis’s novel The Unbelieved,  the series has been adapted for television by BAFTA-nominated writer Dianne Taylor (After the Party), Stuart Page (Total Control), Belinda Chayko (The Survivors) and Beatrix Christian (Black Snow), with all six episodes directed by Emma Freeman (The Family Next Door, The Newsreader).

Torv plays Detective Tig Pollard, who investigates a harrowing sexual assault case which spirals darker after a key suspect turns up dead. As Tig hunts for the truth, it forces her to confront long-buried secrets from her own adolescence.

Torv’s powerhouse performance leads an impressive ensemble cast including Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply), Zoe Phillips (My Brilliant Career), Kate Box (Deadloch), Peter Fenton (Love is a Four Letter Word), Jay Ryan (Territory), Bert Labonte (Colin From Accounts), Lila McGuire (Goolagong), Ben Knight (Bay of Fires), Harry Gilchrist, Ling Cooper Tang (Troppo), Gemma Chua-Tran (Heartbreak High), Alice Ansara (Black Snow) and Martin Sacks (The Survivors).
