A brand spanking new trailer for Star Trek Beyond dropped today, featuring a Bond-style power ballad in the form of Rihanna’s Sledgehammer.
It’s pretty great.
You may balk at the presence of contemporary music in Star Trek – a vocal subsection of the fandom blew a plasma coil over the presence of The Beastie Boys in the ’09 remake, but that sort of thing has been going on since the original series. After all, who could forget this magic moment:
