After the disappointing response to Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Warner Brothers’ plans for The DC Extended Universe suffered another blow recently when it was announced that the director for the upcoming The Flash has left the project, citing “creative differences.” Novelist, screenwriter, and producer, Seth Grahame-Smith (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), would have made his directorial debut on the film, which will see Barry Allen, the world’s fastest man, make his first solo outing in the current big screen version of the DC comics universe. The Flash is one of a slew of upcoming DC features, including the currently shooting Justice League Part One, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman, which will be directed by Australian, James Wan (Saw, Fast & Furious 7). A replacement director is yet to be announced. Seth Grahame-Smith’s first film as director is now expected to be a remake of the child-traumatising Disney classic, Something Wicked This Way Comes.
