1. Ocean’s Eleven
Ocean’s Eleven was the first installment of the modern Ocean’s film trilogy and was a remake of the 1960 film of the same name.
The plot focuses on a group of friends masterminded by Danny Ocean (George Clooney), an ex-con who puts together a plan to rob the Las Vegas Bellagio Hotel of $160 million. Naturally, this leads to plenty of action and crazy moments throughout the movie, which comes to a head with the casino heist.

Many film critics agree that Bradley Cooper’s version of the movie is the best. Together with Lady Gaga, they both hit the ball out of the park with their standout performances. Plus, you even get to discover that Bradley Cooper (who plays Jackson, Maine) has a pretty good singing voice!
4. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
Nobody is going to disagree that the original Willy Wonka movie – Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) – is by far the best. This is largely thanks to the amazing performance of Gene Wilder, who solidified his name in Hollywood history as a result.
However, the 2005 remake (featuring Johnny Depp as the eccentric Mr. Wonka) did do the original justice. Depp’s version is a lot different from Wilder’s version, as his character is much crazier and sporadic. Even if you’re a diehard fan of the original, you’ll definitely get some enjoyment out of the 2005 remake.
5. The Lion King (2019)
2019’s The Lion King is the live-action remake of the 1994 animated movie. The remake still comes with bags of charm and plenty of excitement, which is why it got strong reviews when it first came out. Sure, it’s not as good as the original, but it’s still worth a watch!
