Writer/Director Carl Firth’s short film is reminiscent of Fantasia and Harry Potter, filled with monsters that aren’t so much scary as wondrous.
Independently produced and filmed over a two year period around Sydney, The Witching Hour premiered at Flickerfest in 2015, where it was awarded the Special Jury Prize. It also won Best Visual Effects at St Kilda Film Festival, and has played at a number of other festivals around the world, including Sitges Film Festival, Telluride Horror Show and Fantasia Film Festival.
