The first-look clip lands five years to the day after Wentworth’s final episode aired on 26 October 2021, giving fans a glimpse of what comes next.
Nadine Garner said of joining the cast, “For many years I had friends and colleagues creating and working on Wentworth…It became a solid fixture of screen work in Victoria. I admired the show from afar and the incredible world that they had built as a team. I never dreamed I would be stepping into this next chapter and am so grateful for the opportunity to carry forward the story for their dedicated audience. It’s a real thrill for me.”
Production on Wentworth: Halfway Home is currently underway in Melbourne. Freshly paroled, Boomer arrives at Sal’s Halfway House determined to get custody of her daughter and build a life for them both. But when a body turns up, who can she trust in a home full of ex-cons? Getting out of prison was hard, but staying out may prove impossible.
Wentworth, a Fremantle production that premiered in 2013 on FOXTEL, reimagined the landmark series Prisoner and became a defining moment in Australian television, screening in over 170 territories worldwide across eight seasons.
Wentworth: Halfway Home premieres exclusively on BINGE and FOXTEL in late 2026, reflecting BINGE’s continued investment in Australian stories and premium, homegrown drama for audiences worldwide. Ahead of the premiere, fans can also experience every episode of the gripping, award-winning Australian drama Wentworth on the More Pop-Up Hits Channel 129 on Foxtel and on Binge from November 11 2026.
