The Life and Times of Harold Bum

Two drunks pull an insurance scam and one betrays the other one. They are pursed by a failed actor and Shakespeare reciting private eye in his 60s. Harold being a Christian tries not to get too involved in crime but his friend Percy B Shelley just wants the money.

Director Rod Hollens said last week, “Gympie’s a visually rich place to make movies… there’s such a diversity of landscape and working with professional and community actors has inspired my own creativity to new heights.

“We screen tested actors from Maleny Theatre, Noosa Arts Theatre, Gympie Performing Arts Collaboration” we’ve got some great method, classical and
vaudevillian actors with lot’s of variety in their performances.’

”Actually, John Herrilhy is one of our great vaudevillian actors and he gives a beautiful performance as Professor Buggs.”
