EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT

We are thrilled to present The ‘Art of Casting” Workshop with Alison Pringle and Stephanie Pringle from Chicken & Chips Casting. This amazing panel is part of our 4pm SF3 Mini & Feature Film Screening at the Actors Centre Australia in Leichhardt. Tickets to the screening are just $20 or $15 and include the films, the panel and a talk with our feature filmmaker from Los Angeles, Luis Fernandez.

From Alison Fowler – “We often feel it gets overlooked in the production process with filmmakers assuming they can just get their mates to do it, but we want to not only change this mindset and have producers consider it just like all other heads of department, but also that reaching out to Casting Directors for passion projects IS a thing – it’s all in how they do it and we want to help educate upcoming filmmakers on this process.”

Don’t miss out!

Don’t miss out on this incredible workshop happening on Sunday 6th November at 2pm at The Actors Centre Australia. Tickets just $20 or only $10 as an add-on with any other SF3 ticket purchase. Thomas is incredible and will help you craft your stories and screenplays into winning scripts and films.

Thomas Duncan-Watt is a three-time AWGIE Award winning screenwriter and show runner who has worked across genres. Starting his career as a comedy writer on shows like Good News Week and Newsjack, his screen credits include episodes of the Emmy Award-winning Beat Bugs for Netflix, The Deep for the ABC, Winston Steinburger for Teletoon, and Dennis the Menace and Gnasher for the BBC, where one of his scripts earned the show its first ever BAFTA nomination.

In 2018 Thomas earned his first Head Writer role on Space Nova, a 26×1/2 hour animated sci-fi series that has already won the AWGIE award two years running for ‘Best Animated Script’, as well as winning ‘Best Animated Series’ at the AACA Awards and being nominated for SPA and AACTA awards.

Currently, Thomas is working on Space Nova’s planned second season, while developing an original series with a US team that includes Emmy-Award winning director Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot, The Crown). He has also recently become a freelance screenwriter on the iconic Australian serial, Home and Away.
