East Brunswick Village will soon be home to Melbourne’s most exciting cinema experience, with the opening of FoMo Cinemas this December. Combining big-screen blockbusters with full service in-theatre dining, this new cinema concept – offering the best in film, food and drink – is set to bring the movies back to Brunswick this summer.
In the tradition of Brooklyn’s storied Nitehawk Cinema and cult-sensation Alamo Drafthouse, beloved for their in-cinema service and specialty menus, FoMo Cinemas artfully brings together two of Melbourne’s greatest passions: food and film. Leading the project are local screen visionaries, Barry Peak (Valhalla/Cinema Nova) and Natalie Miller AO (Longford Cinema/Cinema Nova).
Featuring an on-site chef-designed menu, FoMo Cinemas encourages punters to dine-in with an on-demand food and beverage service delivered in-cinema directly to the viewer. Specially fitted auditoriums, thoughtfully planned seating and an integrated digital ordering system will ensure both comfort and prompt service.
Showcasing big blockbusters alongside retro classics and other curated programming, the independent FoMo Cinemas will also ensure first rate viewing and sound. Expertly designed, FoMo Cinemas will take ‘dinner and a movie’ to a new level with plenty to satisfy both on screen and on the menu.
Housed in the newly opened East Brunswick Village, the inner north’s latest shopping and lifestyle precinct, FoMo Cinemas will capture audiences both locally and from further afield as a destination cinema experience.
FoMo Cinemas is set to open 11 January. More details on the menu, design and program will be made available in November. Visit fomocinemas.com.au.
