Easy Tiger Options Dervla McTiernan’s #1 Bestseller Three Reasons for Revenge

Following a heated auction, Easy Tiger Productions (Colin From Accounts, The Twelve, Scrublands) has secured TV rights for Dervla McTiernan’s chart-topping psychological thriller Three Reasons for Revenge. Shaun Grant (The Narrow Road to the Deep North, Snowtown, True History of the Kelly Gang) will write the screenplay. The deal was negotiated by Dan Conaway and Tom Ishizuka for Writers House.

Published in 2026, Three Reasons for Revenge went straight to number one in the Australian bestseller charts across all genres. A gripping, high-stakes thriller, Three Reasons for Revenge tells the story of three seemingly unconnected people caught in a lethal web of deceit and unhealed wounds. Three mysterious gifts are delivered to three very different houses in Melbourne; each gift is perfectly tailored to its recipient – and each will tear apart the life of its intended victim.

Internationally bestselling and award-winning author Dervla McTiernan is the author of seven novels, and her books have sold over 1 million copies. Born in Ireland, McTiernan and her family relocated to Perth, Western Australia in the wake of the Global Financial Crisis in 2008.

McTiernan said: ‘I am absolutely thrilled that Ian, Rob, Shaun and the Easy Tiger team have picked up this story. I am such a huge fan of their work and I can’t wait to see how they bring Three Reasons to the screen.’

Rob Gibson, CEO of Easy Tiger said, ‘There’s no doubt Dervla’s highly entertaining book will find a place not only on your shelves but on your TV screen. Dervla is a master at creating a gripping thriller plot and Shaun is the perfect writer to adapt her book. We’re so delighted to be working with them both.’

Shaun Grant said, ‘From the moment I first read Three Reasons for Revenge I immediately envisaged it as a television series. It is a supremely crafted thriller full of surprises, and I thank Dervla for entrusting Easy Tiger and myself with her creation. I’m excited by the journey ahead.’
