The new feature film is captivating the movers and shakers, sporting stars, and industry professionals.

Rabbi Mendel Kastel (CEO of Jewish House), Willie Mason (former NRL sporting star), and notable public figures are anticipated to attend the premiere event of Australia’s newest crime drama Cuckoo’s Den. MagicMakersGroup is the production company behind the feature-length film Cuckoo’s Den and will be premiering the film on Tuesday 9th April at the Ritz Cinemas, Randwick, where tickets are selling out fast.

Cuckoo’s Den is the sophomore feature film of director/executive producer Michael Acland. The film festival circuit proved successful in various global markets, with multiple official selections and award-winning film festival milestones in the US, India, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The success gained within the festival circuit has and continues to draw in audiences worldwide and already resulted in the attention of various International distribution sales agents.

The film which can be described as a psychological art-house crime drama explores the seven deadly sins that is Alexander Voronin (Christian Andrew), who is the head of a transnational crime family (Valentin Perkovic, Kloud Milas, Sarah Marie Reynolds) operating within the hidden underworld of Sydney, Australia. Karma is ready to seek revenge on the man who has it all, as Alex loses everything he loves. Begs the question of how far can one fall and come back from the crush?

The unique experimental style of Cuckoo’s Den puts a twist on Australian audiences’ love for crime dramas that has attracted sponsorship and business support. Sponsors and supporters of the film are Sketch on Stage Immersive Art Club, Cultural Pulse, and Coogee Diggers Club and Gym.

MagicMakersGroup intends to take Cuckoo’s Den on a national tour in the coming months. The team foresees for further businesses to be onboard as sponsors for the upcoming nationwide tour.

Cuckoo’s Den premiere screening is on Tuesday 9th April at Ritz Cinemas, Randwick. 6:30pm arrivals and media opportunities followed by the commencement of the film at 7pm.
