Cinema Nova cements itself as Melbourne’s “home of the Oscars®” in the lead-up to the Academy Awards® as the popular independent arthouse launches a competition to win a year of free movies.

Cinema Nova has launched an Oscars® competition to win the prize of a lifetime: a Cinema Nova Gold Pass that will allow the lucky winner and a guest to enjoy a year of free movies at the Carlton venue!

Entry is limited to Cinema Nova eNews subscribers (subscription is free and can be done prior to entering the competition). Once subscribed, entrants must correctly guess the eventual Academy Award® winners in twelve major categories for a chance to win. Entries close March 27; the night prior to the ceremony (local time).

With eighteen Oscar® nominated titles currently screening at the independent cinema – several of which are entering their tenth (or longer!) week of release – Cinema Nova continues its reputation as Melbourne’s premiere destination for movie-lovers and cinephiles.

Due to popular demand, many of the nominees will see their number of session times increase from this Thursday as audiences continue to catch-up with some of the best films of the year. DRIVE MY CAR, THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD, and PARALLEL MOTHERS will all enjoy additional shows, screening alongside fellow-nominees BELFAST, LICORICE PIZZA, HOUSE OF GUCCI, FLEE, DUNE, SPENCER, NIGHTMARE ALLEY, WEST SIDE STORY, THE POWER OF THE DOG, KING RICHARD, THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH, NO TIME TO DIE, CYRANO, THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE and QUO VADIS, AIDA?.

The Academy Award® winners will be announced on March 28, (local time).
