That’s why the Casting Guild of Australia is partnering with Casting Networks to bring performers, agents, casting directors and industry professionals together to support one another and our mental health in the entertainment Industry for an incredible free event.
CGA president Thea McLeod: “To the outside world, the entertainment industry can often be seen as a vibrant, fun, and exciting world, full of glamour, allure, and fascination and often it is, but like everything in this world there is always a flipside. The entertainment industry being a project-based industry can be full of uncertainty and ups and downs in some of its communities’ lives, that’s why it is so important, for its members to prioritise and protect mental well-being. The CGA strongly believes in the importance of mental health and this seminar will be an excellent opportunity to provide and share resources in a fun and supportive environment. That is why the CGA is proud to be teaming up with Casting Networks to create an informative seminar surrounding mental health and well-being for all our entertainment professionals. With an array of informed professionals from the industry relaying their stories and experiences, The CGA and Casting Networks Mental Health Seminar is going to be a fun and social opportunity for the industry to come together and support one another. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the event.”
The seminar, called Behind the Curtain: Mental Health in the Entertainment Industry, takes place on March 21, 2023 at the Theatre Royal Sydney at 6:30 p.m. AEDT.
