For a sneak peek at just a few of the myriad treasures that can be found in the collection, visit @afi_research_collection. During lockdown, Caroline Shen, who is completing her Master of Information Management, updated the AFIRC Instagram account as part of an internship at the AFIRC.
“Getting to walk through the collection of periodicals, journals and magazines as I looked for something that would make an interesting subject for the next #magmonday post was always an amazing experience,” Caroline said.
“The collection has so many little journals and newsletters from local or university film clubs and other minor publications that maybe only lasted a few issues but provide such an interesting perspective on cinema and television history, and you can’t find some of these anywhere else.”
