Bounty Films and Halo Films Kick Off Exciting New Distribution Partnership with first three releases coming first half of 2025
[Melbourne/Perth, Australia, 8th Jan 2025] – Bounty Films is thrilled to announce the first wave of releases from its exciting new agreement with Halo Films, enabling Bounty Films to distribute a curated selection of Halo Films’ acquired titles to home media audiences globally. This partnership will see the films released across Transactional and Ad-supported digital Video-On-Demand (TVOD/AVOD) platforms, selected Subscription Video-On-Demand (SVOD) platforms and, for select titles, make-on-demand Blu-ray and DVD formats (available via Bounty Films’ website, Amazon, MovieZyng and Walmart).
The first wave of releases under this collaboration is set to roll out in the first half of 2025. Audiences can look forward to an eclectic trio of titles, showcasing compelling storytelling and diverse genres:
– In The Trenches: The Making of Before Dawn (directed by Benjamin Scotford) – A riveting documentary that delves behind the scenes of 23-year-old independent director-producer Jordon Prince-Wright’s ambitious, acclaimed independent WWI-set drama Before Dawn. When faced with harsh weather conditions and the constraints of limited resources, the director and crew must battle every day to get the film across the line. Fans of indie filmmaking will gain exclusive insights into the challenges and triumphs of recreating the Western Front in rural Western Australia, and the sheer grit and passion of bringing this indie gem to life.
– Gravel Road (directed by Tristan Pemberton) – In Australia’s remotest community of Tjuntjuntjara, lives Jay Minning – a singer-songwriter and frontman of the rock band The Desert Stars. As the band hit the road to head out on their first tour we see the trials and tribulations that beset them. From van trouble, to smashed windows, to navigating the infamous Gravel Road. On this documentary journey, Jay shares with us his passion for music, his inspiration and a rare glimpse into his Indigenous way of life.
– Violett (directed by Steven J. Mihaljevich) – A series of strange child disappearances have plagued a small rural town. Sonya, a sick and disturbed mother, fears unspeakable evil will snatch her 11 year old. As bizarre neighborhood characters emerge, Sonya is about to discover more than one shocking truth. A surreal exploration of trauma, grief, and destructive self-preservation; constructed like a poetic puzzle, it operates like a dark and dangerous dream.
All three titles will be released to digital and disc platforms in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada, UK and Ireland in Q2 (Apr-Jun) 2025.
