Independent film distributor Screenxcope presents screenings across ANZ and will be introducing more Asian cinema to Australian viewers.

“The story of 11-year-old Zaffan is not only a Malaysian or feminine story but a universal one.

At Screenxcope, we are passionate about presenting such unique, impactful narratives and there’s no better representation than Tiger Stripes, fresh from its tour across major film festivals across Australia & New Zealand as much as rest of the World.

With its distinctive cinematic style blending body-horror with profound social commentary, Tiger Stripes is a great watch. It is also deeply enriching from a multicultural and diversity perspective. We are grateful to the partners who have made this happen; cinema halls, festival programmers, GIG’D & Asia Pacific Screen Academy for their support in exhibiting the powerful voices that at times gets overlooked for geographical or linguistic barriers.

Tiger Stripes is a trailblazing film, and I would like to invite all film lovers to watch it at their nearest theatres this first quarter of 2024,” said Sakib Iftekhar, the Western Sydney-based film distributor.

The film brings us closeup into the daily life of Zaffan, a Malaysian girl living in a rural kampung village, witnessing through the lens of a kaleidoscope of everyday life of a girl approaching puberty.

Tickets are now on sale directly from the participating cinema halls.
