Opening Night celebrations will commence with a performance from the Djirri Djirri dance group, followed by the Australian premiere of Bones of Crows (Canada).
Written and directed by Marie Clements, Bones of Crows is a powerful, moving multi-generational epic of resilience, survival and the pursuit of justice. Marie Clements is visiting Australia for the festival, and will participate in a Q&A after the screening. Birrarangga Film Festival’s Opening Night is proudly presented in partnership with Ngarara Willim and RMIT Culture.
The festival will continue through the weekend with a host of feature film screenings, Q&As, panel discussions and short film packages, taking place at venues across the city.
