Award-winning series adds another international selection to a growing festival run
‘Til You Make It, the Australian web series, has been selected for NYC Web Fest, where it will be the only Australian production in the program.
The selection continues a strong year for the series. Earlier in 2026, ‘Til You Make It was nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Online Drama or Comedy. Since then, it has been recognised by festivals across the globe:
- Hollywood Best Indie Film Awards: Winner, Best Web Series
- Lima Web Fest: Winner, Best Editing (Cameron Ford) and Best Post Production
- New Zealand Web Fest: Nominated, Best Series and Best Score
- New Jersey Web Fest: Nominated, Best Comedy Series and Best Song
- Apulia Web Fest: Nominated, Best Web Series
- London Night Film Festival: Nominated, Best Director (Scott Major)
- Melbourne Web Fest: Official Selection
Created by Emma Choy, Philip Hayden and Scott Major, the series follows Mei (Emma Choy) and Tim (Philip Hayden), two middle-aged, “yet-to-be-discovered” actors doing their best to stay optimistic in a world that has already moved on. Between acting gigs, dodgy auditions and questionable life choices, ‘Til You Make It offers a funny and heartfelt glimpse into the struggle of chasing dreams long past their expiry date.
‘Til You Make It stars Emma Choy and Philip Hayden alongside Damian Walshe-Howling, Nadine Garner, Menik Gooneratne, Kym Valentine, Tilly Legge, Amanda LaBonte, Stephen Phillips, Jessica Martin, Candice Leaske, Lansy Feng, Francesca Waters and Scott Major.
“Getting into NYC Web Fest was a big goal for us and I’m delighted we have been selected. Honestly, it feels like a win, not just a selection,” said Philip Hayden, Series Co-Creator, Producer, Writer and Lead Actor.
“To see our little Aussie comedy now making waves internationally is beyond thrilling. Turns out, sometimes you just have to kick the door down!” said Emma Choy, Series Co-Creator, Producer and Lead Actress.
“We are just so excited that our wonderful show is now being appreciated around the world. It’s definitely a ‘Til You Make It’ moment!” said Scott Major, Series Co-Creator, Director, Producer and Supporting Actor.
NYC Web Fest will take place in person from 13 to 15 November 2026, showcasing the best web series from across the globe.
