AIDC CEO / Creative Director Natasha Gadd, said, “Making films of any format is a challenge but often more so for documentary and factual creators working with smaller budgets to bring us big stories that matter! The AIDC Awards is an opportunity to honour the incredible work of our nonfiction storytellers and to give recognition and visibility to the most outstanding projects of the last year.”

Submissions for AIDC Awards categories are open now, and will close Wednesday 23 November 2022 (or 30 November 2022 with late fee). Stanley Hawes Award nominations close Friday 16 December 2022. Visit the AIDC website for more information regarding category criteria and guidelines and to submit a project.

Each category is assessed by an independent jury who are experts in their field. The 2023 AIDC Awards Presentation will take place on Wednesday 8 March 2023, the closing night of AIDC 2023.

A first look at the AIDC 2023 program, including the announcement of key international speakers and industry guests, will be released Thursday 3 November 2022.
