In each episode, young adults present various challenges to adulting such as the nuances of making friends as an adult. The Adult-erers spring into action with their unconventional approaches while highlighting the truth behind their shenanigans. The series is punctuated with life tips from the Adult-erers themselves in Q & A-style segment fittingly called ‘Q and A-dulting.’

Adult-erers is the debut web series created, written, produced and directed by Dr Chido Mwat. Chido is a comedian, film and content maker living in Naarm (Melbourne). Her debut satirical short For Becky was featured on SBS, placed third at the Sunshine Short Film Festival (2021), and was an official section at the African Smartphone International Film Festival (2021). She has also worked across writing, directing and producing for projects for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and Cinespace. Chido is no stranger to the stage having performed her debut show ‘She-Nanigans the Show’ at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne Fringe (2022).

The show stars cabaret artist Tara Leigh Dowler (‘Private Parts: Pink Flappy Bits and Choral Edge’), comedian Pam Rana (‘The Leak’), and screen and stage actor Sandy Morrison (Jack Irish, For Becky). The cast also features emerging talent from Ashleigh McFarland (The Improv Conspiracy), Sam Serna (‘She-Nanigans the Show’), Serious Meerkat (‘No Waiting’) and Tinaye Buffalo (‘Black Trans Miracle’). This project is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and by the Hume City Council Arts Grants program.

ADULTER-ERERS starts on Thursday the May 4thth on TIKTOK and INSTAGRAM.
