Thoughts & Prayers is a satire of modern adulthood and the increasingly absurd systems we are expected to navigate every day. Through the story of T, a man whose life is thrown into chaos by a seemingly minor administrative issue, the film explores what happens when ordinary people are forced to comply with rules they don’t fully understand and have little power to challenge.
At a time when many people feel overwhelmed by bureaucracy, financial pressure and the constant demand to perform a version of themselves online, the film finds dark comedy in the gap between what society expects and what real life actually feels like. While its world is heightened and surreal, the frustrations at its centre are instantly recognisable.
By pushing everyday anxieties to their logical extreme, Thoughts & Prayers invites audiences to laugh at the absurdity of modern life and question why so many things we accept as normal make so little sense.
