Porcine pre-school powerhouse Peppa Pig is making her big screen debut in Peppa Pig My First Big Screen Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday, a cumbersome title that the press release took pains to ask us not to abbreviate.

They also asked us not to describe Peppa Pig My First Big Screen Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday as a feature film, as it is not. Indeed, Peppa Pig My First Big Screen Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday is nine brand spanking new episodes cobbled together, including four Australian episodes, plus a bunch of interactive song and dance action to engage the young viewers of Peppa Pig My First Big Screen Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday.

The Australian episodes featured in Peppa Pig My First Big Screen Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday see young Peppa and her family embark on an Australian holiday* and doing all the typical things we Australians indulge in on a typical day, such as having a barbecue, throwing a boomerang, learning to surf, and checking out the Great Barrier Reef in a submarine.

The other episodes in Peppa Pig My First Big Screen Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday see Peppa take a trip to London, spend a day out at the Zoo, cruise along the canal, and get some advice from Policeman Panda.

This cinema event will be preceded by the launch of Peppa Pig Playdate, a live interactive experience touring Australia, and it all ties in nicely with Canadian-owned entertainment company, eOne, who owns this most lucrative franchise.

Peppa Pig My First Big Screen Experience: Peppa’s Australian Holiday opens in Australian cinemas nationally on March 16, 2017.
