Palm Beach boasts an all-star cast of Australian screen legends, including Bryan Brown, Sam Neill, Richard E. Grant, Jacqueline McKenzie, Heather Mitchell and Greta Scacchi.
The dramatic comedy is set on Sydney’s spectacular Palm Beach and follows the story of a group of lifelong friends, gathered to celebrate a milestone birthday. However, tension mounts when old and new resentments arise and as a result, the threat of an old secret coming to life is all but inevitable.
Rachel Ward’s first feature film, Beautiful Kate, will also be shown during the festival as part of the “Essential Australian Women Directors – 10 Trailblazers Selected by David Stratton” showcase.
The Sydney Film Festival takes place between the 5th and 16th of June, with the opening night screening taking place at the glorious State Theatre.
