Writer/director Lucy Coleman’s new comedy web series. On the Fringe, premieres on Sunday, November 19th, on Facebook YouTube, with episodes released daily over the following week.

Produced by Oddity Entertainment and Loose as Hell Productions, the six part series “…follows emerging comedians Sarah (Sarah Gaul) and Jacinta (Jacinta Gregory) as they endeavour to find the bright side of existence following their disastrous fringe festival sets. A devastated Jacinta will question her life’s purpose following the breakup of a two-week relationship, while Sarah’s own success will come unstuck after confusing a critic’s appraisal as a flirtatious come-on.”

Coleman said of the series, “I’m a massive fan of both Jacinta and Sarah as comedians, actors and as people. It was a complete joy being able to make this series with such good friends.

“Writing On The Fringe really dug me out of my own creative rut and played a huge part in me battling some of the fears that were shrouding me at the time. I’m so happy to see how far it’s come with all the amazing people I’ve had the honour to collaborate with. It’s been a super cathartic process.”

Speaking of the decision to realise the episodes at a daily rate rather than a more traditional weekly or all-at-once delivery, Managing Director of Oddity Entertainment Hew Sandison said, “It’s a gamble but, on Facebook and YouTube, we’re on the audience’s own terms and time. We believe a daily release will capture the immediacy that makes the live comedy environment so riveting, while keeping the audience watching and engaged for longer.”
