From acclaimed director Alexander Payne (Election, Sideways, The Descendants), The Holdovers follows a curmudgeonly instructor (Paul Giamatti) at a prestigious American school, who is forced to remain on campus during Christmas break to babysit the handful of students with nowhere to go. Eventually, he forms an unlikely bond with one of them – a damaged, brainy troublemaker (newcomer Dominic Sessa), and with the school’s head cook (Da’Vine Joy Randolph), who has just lost a son in Vietnam.

The Holdovers has been named the Best Film of 2023 by the Boston Society of Film Critics, is one of the American Film Institute’s Movies of the Year, and has received three Golden Globe nominations for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture.

In January, every member of ClubInk, FilmInk’s movie club, will receive a double pass to THE HOLDOVERS.
