Movie of the Month: Nuremberg

by FilmInk Staff

A gripping historical drama starring Russell Crowe and Rami Malek, Nuremberg chronicles the complicated efforts required to bring to justice those who oversaw many of history’s most heinous crimes. The film centres on American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Malek), who is tasked with determining whether Nazi prisoners are fit to stand trial for their war crimes and finds himself in a complex battle of wits with Hermann Göring (Crowe), Hitler’s right-hand man.

Written and directed by James Vanderbilt, Nuremberg is based on Jack El-Hai’s 2013 non-fiction book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist and depicts the fascinating events that led to the trial of the century, and also stars Leo Woodall, Michael Shannon and Richard E. Grant

In November, every member of FilmInk’s movie club, ClubInk, will receive an inseason double pass to Nuremberg.
