Tru Dot Films have announced that production will commence on Living Space, Wednesday, November 16, with a view to calling wrap mid-December in Geelong, Victoria.

Written and Directed by actor/filmmaker Steven Spiel, the plot is described as follows: college sweethearts Brad and Ashley venture into the heartland of Germany. Their romantic holiday takes a sinister turn when encountering a German SS Officer and his family, thrusting them into a psychological vortex of horror, revealing there is not always life in a ‘Living Space’.

The cast includes Georgia Chara (Wentworth, Home & Away) and Leigh Scully (Home & Away) as the sweethearts, with Andy McPhee (Sons of Anarchy) returning to Australia to play the SS Officer. Jolene Anderson (All Saints, Play School) and Emma Leonard (800 Words) will be playing against type as his family.

Living Space will be produced by Natalie Forward (web series Haunted or Hoax), executive produced by Spiel, Andrea Buck (The Jammed), Kate Elizabeth Jean and Darren Vukasinovic, with Branco Grabovac lensing, Steven Boyle on SFX, Das Patterson on production design and Chloe Greaves on costumes.

“I am really thrilled to have such an amazing world class team around me, and to have received such positive responses to my script,” said Steven Spiel. “I have also handpicked an extremely talented cast and deliberately placed them into roles far removed from what they’re used to, and what their fans have come to expect from them.”
