Playing a little like a lighter take on The Last Seduction, Imposters sees three rubes team up to take down the female con artist who ripped them all off.
Inbar Lavi is Maddie, the predator who seduces, blackmails and abandons a string of lovers, while Rob Heaps, Parker Young, and Marianne Rendón are the three jilted suckers who combine forces in theri quest for a reckoning with their duplicitous former flame. The press materials are describing this one as a black comedy, so don’t go expecting a deep look at the transactional nature of relationships or the damage wrought by a sociopath, but do expect a lithe, light con caper, plus a guest spot from Uma Thurman.
Imposters hits Stan on February 8, fast-tracked from the US.
