Matthew McConaughey boldly and baldy makes his play for the big time in the new drama from director, Stephen Gaghan.
McConaughey plays Kenny Wells, a real-life prospector who teams with geologist Michael Acosta (Edgar Ramirez) to find gold in the jungles of Indonesia – and does so: some $17 billion worth, apparently. What happens next? Well, the trailer seems to chart a rise and fall arc, and a quick look at the Bre-X scandal of the 1990s might fill in some blanks.
Co-starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Corey Stoll, Bruce Greenwood, Stacy Keach, Toby Kebbel and Rachel Taylor, Gold will hit Australian cinemas in 2017.
