Boys in the Trees is the impressive debut feature of Nicholas Verso, a Melbourne filmmaker to watch. The film premiered at the 2016 Venice Film Festival and is about to hit screens in Australia. Unlike any Australian film you can think of, the coming of age tale follows a group of skater boys as they are about to graduate high school. Influenced by everything from David Lynch to ET, the film is released just before Halloween, a US tradition that we have recently embraced in Australia, so appropriately enough, in this video the young male cast of the film speak about their favourite horror/Halloween movies.
