This here is Jackson Storm, voiced by the admittedly great and underappreciated Armie Hammer, the Millennial villain to Lightning McQueen’s Gen X hotrod hero. Yes, Cars 3 is going to be a generational thing, with the now-ageing McQueen (Once again tonsilled by Owen Wilson) dealing with the existence a newer, younger generation of champions.
That is pretty much the plot of The Expendables 3, by the way.
Cars 3 is in Australian cinemas from June 22.
