Box Office Report: June 1 – 4, 2023
Have we entered some sort of multi-verse at the cinemas? With animation (including CGI, reboots, remakes) dominating the box office in a way that we have never seen before, this weekend's box office is a clear indication of the changing habits in cinemagoing. We don't mean to be doomsayers for 'quality' cinema, and in another universe, there are people attending film festivals, watching local films, revivals and foreign fare, but has the divide ever been this wide?
