Box Office Report: July 14 – July 17, 2022
Two uplifting films opened wide this week, Falling for Figaro and The Phantom of the Open [will Cam Smith's British Open win help Week 2 prospects??] but couldn't get near the top 6 studio behemoths, which remain virtually unchanged from last week. Next week's Where the Crawdads Sing and The Black Phone may change all of that. And, if you're wondering where the Russo Brothers' Ryan Gosling/Chris Evans/Ana de Armas actioner The Gray Man popped up on the charts this week... we will never know, since Netflix releases do not report box office figures, for better or worse.
