Sonic the Hedgehog 3 reaped the Boxing Day release rewards, whilst Anora opened best among the many elevated arthouse releases (A Real Pain, The Room Nex Door, Parthnope) that dominated the lucrative release date.
In terms of Australian releases, this weekend’s figures couldn’t be more illustrative, with even the high-profile Better Man underwhelming. Here’s to a better 2025 for Australian films and cinema in general.
