The busiest weekend of the year saw audiences seek out films that would take their minds off the craziness of the world, with a critically maligned comedy reboot of a crap original going neck and neck with an OTT trashy thriller starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. But ahead of them all by a long neck was James Cameron’s fairy tale sequel dropping screens but increasing screen average in Week 2 of release.
