Box Office Report: 22 – 25 February 2024
Nice to see Sandra Huller featured in two top 20 titles - new release The Zone of Interest, which opened modestly, but understandably for such a tough title, and Anatomy of a Fall, which is the only title in the top 20 to increase its box office from last week - whilst horror Baghead opened ok for what it is. Did people confuse it with the Duplass Brothers 2008 mumblecore film of the same name? Yeah, Nah. Meanwhile, The Rooster starring Hugo Weaving didn't fare so well on first release, coming in at #38, with screen average of $662. And ... isn't it strange to see Article 20 (Chinese) and Article 370 (Indian) both charting, and no, they are not sequels, and are completely unrelated. Australian producers take note, call your film Article something and success at box office. Some food for thought, right there.
