Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead and The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One star Bianca Bradey has transitioned into films with shorter titles, having taken a supporting role in the independent Finnish superhero movie, Rendel.

Directed by comic book creator, Jesse Haaja, Rendel is “…a dark avenger born when a worldwide corporation known as VALA launches an untested vaccine called Nh25 into the market by bribing, threatening, and killing every official opposing them.

“Rendel unleashes his own special kind of hell against VALA, threatening to put an end to the distribution of Nh25. As blood spills and the money burns, VALA recruits a group of mercenaries to do what they seemingly can’t, eliminate Rendel permanently.”

Kristofer Gummerus stars as the titular hero, who comes across as very much in the Crow/Daredevil/Spawn/Batman vein of dark avenger, depending on whether he kills or merely cripples his adversaries. No word of an Australian release yet, but hopefully Bradey’s presence means it’ll get some distro love locally.

I’m keen to see this, because it shares my name. I’m in Australia and would like to know when it is coming here.
