“Zombie Plane follows an aircraft travelling from Brisbane to Los Angeles that is taken over by zombies, with Vanilla Ice playing himself as an undercover agent,” said producer Jessica Butland in a statement.
“I’m really excited to see this high-octane undead action-mashup of laughs and screams on the big screen,” she continued. “It is going to be a great showcase of our extraordinary local talent, along with a chance to see some global stars team up and annihilate zombies.”
Apart from Monk and, um, Ice, the cast includes Ann Truong, Teressa Liane, Joey Vieira, Dan Ewing, Ellie Popov, Brittany Grey, Christine Milo, Ellie Gonsalves, Alex Fleri, Victoria Fleri and Saffron Deacon.
Currently shooting at Screen Queensland Studios in Brisbane, Zombie Plane is produced by Jessica Butland and Michael Burkenbine for Radioactive Pictures, with directors Lav Bodnaruk and Michael Mier, from a screenplay by William Strong.
