Whilst the 95th Annual Academy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, for the first time ever on the Gold Coast – the Australian Academy is proud to stage an exclusive big-screen presentation of the 2023 Oscars ceremony live at HOTA hosted by the Gold Coast’s own Emily Jade O’Keeffe from 102.9 Hot Tomato.
Film aficionados and anyone out to have a great day can dress for the red carpet and celebrate the most remarkable performances and achievements in filmmaking in the last year. Enjoy the glitz and glamour with local screen fans and cheer on the Aussie nominees – including 8 nominations for local production ELVIS, as well as Cate Blanchett for TAR, and Brisbane filmmaker Lachlan Pendragon nominated for Best Animated Short.
Anyone attending, can complete the Oscars® Ballot and correctly predict the most winners for the chance to win the Grand Prize of two tickets to the AACTA Awards Ceremony & Official Party, presented for the first time on the Gold Coast in February 2024.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the telecast in-cinema, along with several great lucky door and pop quiz prizes!
