Written by Lena Waithe (you know, Aziz Ansari’s lesbian mate in Master of None), directed by Melina Matsoukas (TV’s Insecure, a couple of eps of Master of None and dozens of video clips for the likes of J-Lo, Kylie and Beyonce) and starring Get Out‘s Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith (The Last Ship, upcoming as Grace Jones in Julien Temple’s Sexual Healing), Queen & Slim looks like being positioned for Oscar glory, with US release in late November and Australia in early January.
