In anticipation of the eagerly-awaited final season of Game of Thrones in 2019, HBO is excited to present newly repackaged Blu-rayT and DVD sleeves for all seasons previously released. These beautifully-illustrated pieces – one for each enthralling season – are set to be collectors’ items.
The seven cases are the creation of fan illustrator Robert Ball; the talent behind macabre masterpiece ‘Beautiful Death’. After taking an interest in the gruesome – and wonderfully frequent – deaths in Game of Thrones’ storylines, he began publishing his own art in response online. Robert has been working closely with HBO ever since, and his collaboration on this special project will be a decision welcomed by fans everywhere.
His latest designs have yet another intriguing concept: a significant object, which on closer inspection reveals a momentous scene from the season it depicts. On one sleeve, villainous Joffrey’s silhouette can be found disguised as the stem of a goblet, while another hides the Baratheon stag amongst its layers. Who knows what else has been cleverly weaved into the imagery? Each vibrant illustration is set against a striking white background and is guaranteed to stand out anywhere.
The incredible detail and unfolding narrative of Robert Ball’s series is a testament to Game of Thrones itself. His clever imagery casts new light over a show that means so much to so many. Just like the episodes, this is work that lingers long in the mind, with the possibility of discovering new meaning the second, third, or even fourth time around.
With seven exclusive designs to choose from, this is Game of Thrones gold that’s well worth battling the queues for.

I’ve been searching and searching, to no avail. I cannot, for the life of me, find any explanation as to why Game of Thrones: Complete Eighth Season with limited edition illustration by Robert Ball DOES NOT EXIST. Like… kill me now. The so-called three eyed raven sigil is a joke.
I completely understand! I have all seven editions and they are really beautiful, but I can’t understand why Season 8 hasn’t been published in this edition yet. It makes absolutely no sense. I hope that changes because there is no point in having an incomplete collection on the shelf.
