Filmmaker Donna McRae (Johnny Ghost) has commenced principal photography on her next feature film, Lost Gully Road, which has been filming in Melbourne since December 5. Here’s the synopsis:
Lost Gully Road tells the story of Lucy, who goes to a secluded cottage to wait for her sister. But there are other things that get in her way.
That’s pretty light on detail. What we can say at this point is that Lost Gully Road has assembled a decent cast, including Adele Perovic (The Code), Eloise Mignon (The Cherry Orchard), John Brumpton (Pawno), and Jane Clifton.
Shedding a little more light, McRae said, “I’m very excited to be making this new film. It’s a minimal ghost story that, at its core, is a comment on domestic violence. The cast is wonderful and I am thrilled to be working with my regular collaborators once again.”
Expect Lost Gully Road on the festival circuit in 2017.
